Book Review of The Alchemist
The Alchemist has some excellent descriptions of the architecture, climate, geographical features, people and foods of different places in the world. However, many people seem to be under the mistaken impression that the book is only about the food in France, the United States and Britain. This is because, as I have said before, most people do not really know much about the history of cooking or any of the other aspects of food preparation. In this article I will try to correct that impression by discussing a few of the other sections of the book and will try to show how the book can be used as a reference when visiting the culinary destinations in the world.

In the first part of the book, the author discusses the history of food in the sixteenth century, including that of Spain, Spain after the restoration of the Pompa Legna in 1527, and the French Revolution. He also discusses the distinctive elements of European cuisine, including the Portuguese and French cuisines, that are not generally known. The book includes a number of recipes for classic dishes and very popular dishes from countries all over the world. I found that the sections dealing with Italy and Spain were quite interesting, and that the author makes very good points about the historical reasons for the variation in the way that each country prepares their food.

The second part of the book is devoted to the World of the Alchemist. The second section focuses on India and includes sections on the preparation of Indian recipes for the Middle East. The authors also discuss about China, the same region they were originally talking about before the review, and finally talk about Japan, a country which has traditionally focused on very Japanese dishes. The last section of the book covers Europe and includes recipes for Spain, France, Italy and Germany.
